Co-Founder Edge

When your co-founder partnership starts to fall apart, what’s next?

As communication breaks down and alignment feels impossible, most co-founders avoid hard conversations or let resentment build. But your relationship is too valuable to lose. You started this journey together for a reason, and the business you’ve built - and the mission - depends on both of you finding a way forward.

Co-Founder Edge is a 6-month coaching program for co-leaders who need to rebuild how they work together. Whether you’re facing major decisions, dealing with trust issues, or simply tired of walking on eggshells, this is your space to not only restore but also strengthen trust and connection.

This program is not about therapy. It’s about equipping you with the tools to lead better together, make decisions with clarity, and resolve tension without losing what made you strong partners in the first place.

Why Co-Founder Coaching Matters:

For most startups and leadership teams, the co-founder relationship is the most important – and the most fragile. Research shows that around 65% of high‑potential startups fail because of co‑founder conflict, highlighting how critical healthy co-founder relationships are to a company’s survival. Yet many leaders try to power through without support, hoping issues will resolve on their own.

In reality, avoiding the tension only makes it worse. Strategic differences, breakdowns in communication, or even small unresolved frustrations can snowball into serious conflict. What often gets lost in the process is trust – and once trust starts getting weaker, both the partnership and the company suffer.

This program exists to break that cycle. It gives you and your co-founder a structured, safe space to face challenges directly, learn new ways of communicating, and get back on the same page about what really matters.

Who It's For:

This reset is for co-founders or senior co-leaders who:

  • Struggle with communication – feeling misunderstood, dismissed, or unable to express concerns without conflict.

  • Face high-stakes decisions – such as fundraising, hiring, or strategic pivots – but can’t seem to align on the path forward.

  • Experience recurring tension – arguments that repeat without resolution, or lingering resentment that won’t go away.

  • Feel trust slipping – noticing doubt in each other’s judgment, commitment, or intentions.

  • Want to prevent breakdowns – even if things are “fine” now, you want tools to strengthen your partnership before problems build up.

How It Works

No theory, no jargon. Just the structure and support you need to repair and strengthen your partnership. Here’s what the 6-month journey looks like:

bullet point

Kickoff Session:

A 90-minute joint session to clarify goals, surface current challenges, and align on how we’ll work together.

bullet point

Regular Coaching Calls:

Coaching with you, me, and your co-founder (2:1). Sessions are primarily joint, with a few individual check-ins built in. Two per month, focused on real conversations and practical strategies. We address the specific issues you’re facing and introduce tools to manage conflict productively.

bullet point

Stakeholder Input:

3-5 interviews with the most relevant people (for example, a key team member, board member, or investor) to gather perspective and provide a balanced view.

bullet point

In-the-moment Support:

Because tension rarely follows a calendar, you’ll have ongoing access for quick input, mediation, or perspective when situations arise between sessions.

bullet point

Wrap-up and future plan:

In the final month, we’ll review progress, identify what’s working, and set up a playbook for sustaining connection long after the program ends.

bullet point

Resources:

Exercises, frameworks, and practical tools tailored to your goals. Plus curated recommendations for books, readings, and other growth resources.

We want to reconnect

Case Studies

Two co-founders of a growing tech startup found themselves in constant disagreement about how to scale. One wanted to push for aggressive growth; the other was concerned about culture and sustainability. In coaching, they learned tools to express priorities without attacking each other and ultimately worked out a shared strategy that honored both visions.

A CEO/COO combo were avoiding hard conversations that were preventing their growth. One was operating in today’s to-dos and the other one was 3 years in the future. Together, we established a clear strategy that mapped from today forward and from the future back. Coaching helped them have those overdue discussions, clear the air, and reconnect around their shared mission.
